Sewn into it - A hilo y aguja


This is another of the “paintings” that are part of the sale for the benefit of the Red Cross (for more details, please check this post)

The special part of this work of art is that it has not even a drop of paint, it is all made of fabric and thread; yes, just like you read it, it is all sewn to form the scene, which is made by Guillermina Mendoza.

Lo que hace especial a este cuadro es que no tiene ni siquiera una gota de pintura, todo es tela e hilo; sí, justo como lo leyeron, está todo cosido para formar la escena, que fué hecho por Guillermina Mendoza.

This is a well known historical motive, not seen anything like this before. I guess there must have been put lots of work in to it.... Sad but also nice.
